Stephen Graham Jones is a prolific author (and, as the boys learn, NOT the editor for the Best New Horror) whose work has garnered awards and praise from literary and genre-centric sources alike. Today, Jeremy and Trevor sit down to discuss the author's phenomenal work, The  Only Good Indians, and Trevor learns the difference between deer and elk, while Jeremy discovers negative viewership. 

In this first ever extra long episode, the guys discuss recent movie releases, including the good, the bad, and the ugly (movie quality, that is, not the old Clint Eastwood classic western). They talk about what works, what doesn't, and try out some new theme song ideas for an iconic horror villain. All the while waxing poetic on the double entendre that is the phrase, "Happy ending." 

In this week's episode, the boy's take a run at Shirley Jackson's famous short story, "The Lottery," try out some piss-poor accents, and try their hand at some more bad puns. Shirley Jackson, best known for The Haunting of Hill House, had quite the reaction when she published "The Lottery" in the New Yorker. 

This week, the boys go off script (thankfully) as they talk about Joe Hill's short story collection and make some obvious comparisons to his more famous father. While Hill is known for his comic strip LOCKE & KEY, and novels like HORNS and N0S4ATU, this short story collection shows why he's one of the true up-and-comers in the horror game. 

In this pilot episode of LitBits, Trevor and Jeremy review the new movie, OLD, by M. Night Shyamalan. They also introduce Sley House Publishing to the world, talk about some upcoming projects, and tell you where to find us online. Never taking themselves too seriously, Trevor and Jeremy of Sley House Publishing are always eager to talk about writing and genre work, praise the things done well, and poke fun at the things that aren't.
